On April 1-2, 2015, BARAK, Inc. will host the fourth annual NexGen Youth Arts Conference at the Best Western Premiere /Central Hotel and Conference Center in Harrisburg, PA The conference will provide access to information and skills specific to traditional and non-traditional arts-based career pathways and development for Pennsylvania’s aspiring visual, performing, and technology arts students. The multi-track conference features breakout sessions and workshops on fine and performing arts, multimedia technology, and other arts-based career paths led by some of the most dynamic professionals in their respective fields.
As part of the conference, the NexGen College Fair will feature a number of fine and performing arts and creative technology colleges and universities, giving each student the opportunity to explore their undergrad and graduate degree options in dance, music, theater, visual art, media arts and technology, and related disciplines.
Talented high school students who understand the value of practice, work, and determination. They are training to think creatively, evaluate and improve their craft, based on constructive criticism, and express themselves to their fullest potential. These artists are simultaneously developing the skills to be actors, dancers, musicians, writers, as well as educators, scientists, entrepreneurs, and leaders.
Teachers are passionate advocates for education, the arts, and the children in their communities. Teachers, each with a network encompassing hundreds of students and their families, are vocal supporters of products, services, and causes they care about, and fiercely loyal to the people they serve.
